I dreamt that I made Barack Obama a cake. With breastmilk. It had the consistency of brownies but was completely white. And completely delicious.

I am a whale (40 lbs and counting!). In other news, my dreams are getting weirder.
Tuesday night:
I dreamt I was at a staff meeting in our big downstairs conference room. The only thing weird was that the bottom of the floor had about a foot of water in it, like it was a giant communal bathtub. We all had special places on the conference table to put our shampoo and other shower supplies. I discovered my shampoo had run out, and had to use some of the person sitting next to me. I remember wondering how to wash the shampoo out of my hair without drawing attention to myself, and thinking, “wow, is it always this awkward to bathe? I don’t remember it being like this before.” The dream ended with my co-worker and I winning some big poetry contest and going to the national poetry contest competition.
Wednesday night:
Emily gave birth to a litter of kittens. They all looked like Basil, and ranged in size from really tiny to bigger. I was supposed to be taking care of them, but they were running around everywhere and I kept losing them. They slept inside this mechanical bed, and it kept catching on fire. I was very relieved to wake up.

I had a dream this weekend that I had my baby, but couldn’t remember the delivery because they gave me so much champagne at the hospital that I blacked-out. I was carrying my baby around the hospital. My baby wasn’t a baby, but a little picture of a baby–just the head. It wasn’t moving, so I didn’t know if it was alive. I was desperately trying to find a nurse to hook it up to a monitor so I could see if it was alive or not. I finally found a nurse, and then the baby in the picture started smiling and winking at me (like a picture in a Harry Potter movie), and I was so relieved. I was relieved that I had had the baby, and relieved that the delivery was so easy that I apparently didn’t even remember it. I woke up and was SO ANNOYED to discover that I was (and am) still pregnant.
Five more months to go!
